Can I get extra cheese with that?

Recently the National Pizza Chain, Pizza Hut, has thought up an enticing new way to get young people interested in watching the upcoming Presidential town-hall style debate. I attached the link to the full story. In summary, Pizza Hut decided to offer one lucky questioner a pizza a week for 30 years to the individual who asks President Obama and his competitor if they prefer "Sausage or Pepperoni?" during the next debate. Once again we see the media working its way into the political sphere. Is this a way to spark the interest of young students to watch the debate or is it complete nonsense? Thoughts?

Either Pizza Hut has no idea how these things work, or they think one of the undecided voters who will ask the questions would really be dumb enough to pull that stunt.

They said at the beginning of the debate that the moderator and other producer type people know what the questions are. Also, there are way more people there with questions then they will have time to ask.

I have a feeling that the undecided voters who are asking the questions are taking this quite seriously because it's a big opportunity. If any of them would try to ask "Sausage or pepperoni?" I hope they would get kicked out are something.

And I sincerely hope that this won't make the debates more appealing to young people, because that would be a really sad reflection on our generation.

I agree Meghan. This question would make the United States seem folish to other countries if they saw that. It would just show that they don't take our government or politics seriously. If I were to get the chance to ask the President a question, I would for sure take the opportunity to develop a well-thought out question. This seems folish to me and makes our generation seem uneducated.
