Obama: overrated?

Is Obama overrated as a candidate?

I found this article on the Washington Post website, and thought it was interesting.  The article analyzes Obama, and critiques his strategy to brand himself as "not a perfect man".

What do you think of Obama as a candidate?
Do you think that he's re-using a campaign image that he created four years ago? How do you think this will affecting him in the final weeks of the campaign?
Also, do you agree with Chris Cillizza (the author of the article) in that the debate hurt Obama's image?

I think Obama is a solid candidate. He seemed to expand on the same campaign image from four years ago, yes, but I don't see it as repeating the same exact image. He is going more for the "forward" side than just change, and that promotes the idea that complete change cannot occur in just four years. In the final weeks of the campaign I would assume he is going to step up his momentum and push the persistence factor. Lastly, the debate definitely hurt his image. His energy level was low and I think that visibly proved to some people that he is aging, becoming gray, and to some people that means he may not be as driven or motivated as he once was.
