Decrease in funding for Pell Grant

http://redalertpolitics.com/2012/06/27/obamas-claim-he-doubled-pell-grant-funding-is-entirely-false/

This article describes the cuts of funding for the Pell Grant.  It says that funding will decrease by $11 billion.  It also lowers the maximum amount of money that a person can receive from the Pell Grant.  It now says that families earning $23,000 or more can contribute to their child's college which is a decrease from $30,000.  I don't know about you, but I do not want some of my funding for school taken away.

Um no I do not, that grant is a good chunk of my financial aid for this school, doesn't make me happy one bit. I'm struggling enough as it is with paying for this school, as well as quite a few other students I would imagine.

It's really bad that people might have to take on even more debt just to go to college. College is just too expensive, and I feel like our government should look into ways to make it more efficient and cheaper.

This is terrible. It's not cuts in college education that need to be made, but other places. More debt for college students just means a more debt-filled future for America. The problem starts young.
