Private Meeting Between Romney and Obama
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/28/mitt-romney-obama_n_2204233.html
Romney will be joining Obama this Thursday at the White House in a private meeting to discuss the Republican opinions and views. Obama hopes to incorporate and hear the side of the Republicans and "work together to move this country forward."
I think this is great that the two are meeting and I think it is a good idea to keep the press out of the situation. Without press it will keep the discussion genuine without putting on a show for the viewers.
I'd like to hope that the two will be able to incorporate ideas from both parties.
What are peoples thoughts on this meeting?
Is it a good idea to keep the media out of it?

I agree that it is a good idea for them to meet and discuss ideas and plans. However, I think it is almost impossible to keep the entire media out of it. I think the media will find a way in to report on the meeting. I also think the media should report on it so we as the people know what they talked about and why.
I hope this works to an extent. Involving those who's views differ with yours into the game can only strengthen the country. If anything comes of this, I believe it will be positive.
I would think the media would be out of the room entirely, but post-meeting, I would think some of the people involved will give quotes and such. I think it would be most healthy for the country to have these meetings and even more meetings in the future to keep negotiations and cooperation moving in the right direction. As for the people getting the details, it would be nice to know every bit discussed but I would think if anything came to a decision, we would obviously hear about it in the long run.
I think this is great! I would hope the media stays out of it but that seems almost impossible, I mean they already posted this article about it. I agree with Parker that this could only have a positive outcome, seeing as the drama between Obama and Romney is over. I think it should stay like that, so hopefully the media stays out of it besides giving us the facts.
I think it's great that Romney is willing to assist President Obama. I heard on the news that Obama also wanted some advice about the budget and national debt from the perspective of a business man. That was Romney's main appeal to voters during his campaign, so I guess we will see if they are of any help to the President.
I really hope this works out the way we all are hoping it does!
