Congratulations America (for fixing nothing)

Congratulations America, you managed to elect a candidate who might be more likely to save you from the impending economic apocalypse. You gave power to the left so that they might implement their policies. So now we get the reverse of what we had six years ago when the Republicans controlled everything and a terrorist induced apocalypse was imminent. So now in another four or maybe eight years we will see the whole thing switch again.

Regardless of what happens none of the real problems will get addressed:

  • the deficit- which will destroy us all
  • uninformed voters- "Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government."- Thomas Jefferson 1789
  • the partisanship that makes polarizes American politics
  • the fat, the sick, the poor
  • Islamic radicalism- this will require continuous suppression
  • the Chinese- God help us when they stop bailing us out
  • reality tv- because I hate it
  • general incompetence
That a way America. Nice work.

partisanship has ruined politics...people vote party instead of person...and we are continuosly presented with the option of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Tyler, is that due to media coverage on the candidates? I believe it has to do with what you choose to believe and what network you get your news from? Rick, I thought you were far left?

im just saying we have only had two choices for as long as i can remember for president...and the only way someone has a chance to be president is either be democrat or republican..and the only way to win is to represent the views of the certain party. If someone with radical ideas runs for president (or ideas from both parties) they just wont have much of a chance. i dont lean one way or another but i just dont like the 2 party system.

But I think there is something to be said about certain aspects of symbolism within the context of the election. I think there have already been far greater battles won and addressed.
